Lower Energy Costs

On the House Energy Committee first session, Adam worked on important legislation to lower energy costs across Alaska.  We passed legislation to make it easier for businesses to switch to natural gas and worked with utilities across the state to explore ways to lower transmission costs on the Railbelt Grid from Homer to Fairbanks.  More recently, he passed a bill to let residents get energy improvement loans from their utilities and pay the loan as a line-item on their bill, called on-bill financing. This would apply to conversions from oil to natural gas, solar panels, home efficiency improvements etc.

Committee History

During Adams six years in the legislature, he has served on various committees and chaired many as well. He has chaired or co-chaired the Energy, Transportation, Labor and Commerce Committees. Currently, he sits on the House Finance Committee as one of two members from Fairbanks.
